UPMC HEALTH SYSTEM CENTER FOR SPORTS MEDICINE PROVIDES SPECIALIZED WEEKLY RUNNERS CLINIC
Whether you train for marathons or jog for fun, dont let a running injury slow you down. UPMC Health System Center for Sports Medicine is offering weekly runners clinics for a comprehensive and specialized approach to the prevention, evaluation, and management of runners injuries. Both runners and walkers are welcome.
The clinic offers a multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and management of runners injuries. Physicians specializing in sports medicine and athletic trainers assess injuries and provide treatment recommendations.
"It is all very individualized, we can analyze everything from how the patients hips are moving, down to the position of their feet each time they take a step. This will help us determine the origins of their problems," said Dave Jenkinson, D.O., Director of the Runners Injury Clinic.
The clinic is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. each Monday at the Center for Sports Medicine, Craig Street and Baum Boulevard in Oakland.
For more information or to schedule an appointment call (412) 578-3381.
